I began private practice in 1979, and I strive to keep at the forefront of innovative and effective therapies.

Despite the fact that our longevity is increasing, our health has been deteriorating year by year. The rates of all degenerative diseases in this country are increasing. At the same time we spend more and more money each year for "Health Care." We have more doctors and more drugs than any civilization in history. So why aren’t we healthier?

Perhaps what is wrong is in the underlying idea. If drugs could give us better health, we'd already be better. That is why the field of holistic and alternative medicine is growing so fast – it strives to work with the body, to help coax the body to do its own healing.

I feel more-than-pleased to have a patient who benefits from a quick and impressive response; but that being said, I like to be straight-forward about the fact that many chronic conditions are stubborn, and it does take time to achieve improvements”.

Fees:   Sometimes we get phone calls from people shopping around for prices.  We do not mind that at all.   Our goal is to have the highest quality of service while keeping our fees reasonable. 

We also strive to keep our fees competitive.  This means that they will be less than or equal to what you will find elsewhere when you compare apples to apples.    

If you are comparing the price of chamber sessions,  you must also be aware of the pressure capacities of the chambers you are comparing.  Most of these chambers you will find in free-standing clinics have a maximum of 4 psi pressure.  We have chambers with a maximum of 9 psi pressure. 

Example: If 7 psi will provide greater benefits for you, do you want a chamber that can only go to 4 psi?

The air you normally breathe is 21% oxygen. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy allows a patient to breathe up to 4 times the normal amount of oxygen while they are in a pressurized chamber, thereby greatly increasing the oxygenation of all of their organs, tissues, and body fluids. It is the pressure of the hyperbaric chamber that allows for the much greater absorption of the oxygen provided. ( see: How Hyperbaric Oxygen Works )

Sometimes it takes combining other therapies with hyperbaric therapy to provide the best overall care for you and your particular condition.

In the USA, the situation stands in marked contrast with many other countries where HBOT is used for a much wider range of conditions. There are over 60 medical conditions being treated worldwide, using HBOT. Multiple Sclerosis patients have banded together in Britain to create their own network of Hyperbaric Chambers. Centers in China treat more than 100,000 patients each year for a multitude of medical conditions. In France Germany, and Japan, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is also a much-used therapy, in contrast to the United States.
